The fall sports season has finished here at St. Paul’s. All the student-athletes used their God-given gifts for his glory, had fun, and improved. Therefore, it was a successful season!
The soccer season this year consisted of just two Saturday tournaments. Our teams were pretty small and quite youthful! Hopefully the lower grade students stick with it and continue to play as they get older so we can grow our soccer program more. Once again, thanks to Mr. Schliewe for coaching both teams!
The B girls volleyball had a great regular season, winning all their matches. Much more important than that was the marked improvement in skill and confidence of these young ladies! In their tournament, fatigue seemed to set in after a long day of matches, so they finished fourth. The A girls also showed they could play with the best teams in the conference. There were many, many close matches throughout the season. They made it to the gold bracket of their conference tournament, but lost in three close games to the top seeded team. It was wonderful to see the camaraderie, leadership, and positive attitudes from these athletes!
Next up is the basketball season. We will have an A-team and a B-team for both boys and girls in grades 4-8. There will also be a cheer team. If you have any interest in coaching a basketball team, or even just helping, please contact Mr. Dais. Happy hooping and go Flames!
