When someone you love goes away, it can be sad and distressing. But when Jesus ascended into heaven, his disciples were able to rejoice! Jesus left to pour out the Holy Spirit on them. He was going to prepare a place for us. He went to give gifts of pastors and teachers. He went to plead for us at the Father’s right hand. He is ruling over all things for the good of his church. Today we observe how Jesus Ascended in Blessing. Our sermon will be on Psalm 47.
