St. Paul’s Lutheran School offers a quality, Christ-centered education to our congregation and surrounding community. We prepare students for a life of service to their neighbor and an eternal life in heaven.
Both the head and heartbeat of our school is Jesus Christ. All that we do is done out of thanks for what Jesus has done for us. All that we accomplish is done through His grace and to His glory. Because of Christ, we are relentlessly determined to carry out our mission.
Michael has served as a principal and teacher at several Lutheran elementary schools since he graduated from Martin Luther College in 1998. Most recently he came to serve St. Paul’s Lutheran School in 2023.

I am responsible for School Choice, Special Needs, and other school administration, also finishing this school year with 3-4 grade.
My name is Deb Doletzky and I am excited to teach 2nd grade here at St. Paul’s. I will be starting my 30th year of teaching. I have taught a variety of all grades, except preschool, with 21 of them in 2nd grade. I have had experience with many subject areas while teaching and found that Christ-Light, Social Studies, and Language Arts are favorites. I enjoy nurturing children with a love of singing praises to their Savior and learning more about Jesus every day.
Hi! My name is Dawn Johnson. I teach grades 1-2 at St. Paul’s and direct the Junior Choir. The 2020-21 school year marks my 33rd year of teaching. In the classroom, I daily assure my students that they are loved by their Savior; and I strive to make learning fun. I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren whenever I am able.
My name is Molly Meitner and I teach Kindergarten here at St. Paul’s. In May of 2019, I graduated from Martin Luther College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary education. Through teaching, I am so thankful to have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with His children each day. Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, hiking, and traveling to new places!
My name is Emily Panzer and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to teach Preschool at St. Paul’s. This will be my first experience with preschool. I am embracing my new role as a 4k teacher at St. Paul’s. I am excited to utilize the new facilities with which God has blessed St. Paul’s and I get to teach the little ones about Jesus. My Husband Noah and I are looking forward to getting to know the congregation and families of St. Paul’s.
As the 3K teacher, it is a privilege to spend my mornings with the youngest lambs of the St. Paul’s Church and School family. Sharing Jesus and his great love is the highlight of our time together. Additionally, I look forward to helping our little ones adjust to a school routine and learning through play. I am eager to get to know all of the children and families of St. Paul’s.
I am responsible for School Choice, Special Needs, and other school administration.
I have been blessed to work with the children of St. Paul’s Lutheran School as a resource teacher for eight years. My current assignment includes teaching math at the grade 3-4 level as well as assisting students who can benefit from additional help in completing and understanding their daily class work. I am also available to work with students who are working on advanced projects.
I assist Mrs. Emily Panzer in the 4k room as a teaching aide on a daily basis.
With over 40 years of keyboard/organ performance and 13 years of elementary teaching experience, Mrs. Susan Phelps offers the convenience of piano lessons at school, during the school day.
Erin has a passion for working in a school system. She has been a life-long member of St. Paul’s. Erin enjoys spending time with her husband Justin and their children.
Hello, my name is Kelly Wall and this is my first year serving as the Hot Lunch Coordinator at St. Paul’s and I am really enjoying it so far. My husband is Pastor Steven Wall. We met at my home church in Port Washington, WI while he was attending Seminary. His first call was to La Crescent, MN where we spent seven years and were blessed with three of our children, August, Robbie, and Elinor. His second call took us to Juneau, AK for six years. Our fourth child, Elaine, was born there. His third call brought us to St. John-St. Peter Lutheran Church in Cleveland, WI where we have been for almost three years. I love being able to encourage and support Steve in his ministry and serve in whatever ways that I can. I especially love singing, baking, and cooking.
Opening a Christian Day School to provide elementary Christian education for St. Paul’s children gained support as early as 1971, but the proposal at that time was defeated by a 36 to 30 margin. At the annual meeting in January 1974, a similar motion passed, and a call to a male teacher in March set the stage for opening the school in September. Theodore Lau was installed on June 30, 1974, and St. Paul’s School opened its doors in September for Kindergarten through 5th grade with 22 students.
In 1975 the congregation voted to call a second teacher and offer classes through eighth grade. Patricia Loersch accepted the call and was installed as the primary grade teacher on August 24, 1975.
In February 1981 Principal Theodore Lau accepted a call. The congregation called Theodore Berg, who was installed on July 25, 1981. In 1982 a third day school teacher, Janet Radue, was called to teach Kindergarten due to growing enrollment.
In 1995 the school expanded its ministry by beginning a four-year-old Kindergarten.
By 1993 the need for larger, handicapped accessible church/school facilities was becoming evident. A building committee was formed to consider whether to enlarge the church or build a new facility. Many options were discussed in the following years. In 2001 voters approved the purchase of 20.2 acres of property on Millersville Avenue in Howards Grove and began plans for constructing a new church, school, and multi-purpose gymnasium. Ground was broken in August 2002. When the Christian Day School began the 2003-04 school year in its new facilities, enrollment including preschool numbered 60, an increase of 15 from the previous year.
Since moving into the new school facilities enrollment has continued to grow, and new faculty and staff have been added. St. Paul’s Lutheran School became a member of the Wisconsin School Choice program in 2018, increasing access to families who feel their children are better served at our school, where Jesus is the cornerstone of our curriculum. We thank the Lord for his continued blessings on the school ministry at St. Paul’s!
