Fall Sports Update

Sep 25th, 2019 | By: Andy Dais

It is hard to believe, but our fall sports season is already in the home stretch. The kids are doing a great job using their God-given gifts and abilities on the field and court. Our soccer teams had their first tournament this past Saturday in Manitowoc. Their season will wrap up with a tournament this Saturday, the 28th, at the New Holstein Soccer Fields (1725 Silver Moon Ln. New Holstein, WI 53061). The K-2 team plays at 8:30 and 12:30. The 3-4 team plays at 9:30 and 1:30.

The volleyball teams are playing well. It is always fun to see the development of skills at the B-team level. As they get more experience, you can see the confidence grow and the excitement build as they string together a series of serves that all go over the net or have a quality volley back and forth. In yesterday’s game, they even had a nice progression of a bump, set, and spike! The A-team has gelled nicely and is enjoying their own success on the court. This week, they have three sets of games in Reedsville, including a rematch against a team that challenged them the first time they played. Both teams will wrap up their seasons with a tournament of their own - B-team on October 5th and A-team on October 12th. Watch for more information on those coming out later.

If you have free time and are interested, come on out and support our student athletes at any of their events. And if you need more spirit-wear, O’Callahan’s does have our logo on file. You can easily order online if you are interested. Go Flames!
